Develop a Wireless Remote Controller with nRF Connect for VS Code

In this webinar we will teach you the basics of nRF Connect for VS Code; Nordic's extension to the popular VS Code IDE. It is the preferred IDE to use together with Nordic's nRF Connect SDK.
At the end of the presentation you will be able to create your own wireless remote controller using the nRF52840 DK and an nRF52840 Dongle as a receiver; allowing you to mute/unmute Teams by the touch of a button!

About the Hardware

nRF52840 DK

The nRF52840 DK is an affordable single-board development kit for Bluetooth® 5, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, ANT, 802.15.4 and 2.4 GHz proprietary applications using the nRF52840 multi-protocol SoC. The nRF52840 DK also supports development for the nRF52811.

The kit is compatible with the Arduino Uno Rev3 standard making it possible to use a wide range of 3rd-party shields during development. The kit has access to all I/Os (48) and interfaces via connectors and there is an integrated PCB trace antenna and an RF connector for direct RF test measurements. There is also a connector for an external NFC antenna (included in kit).  Learn More

nRF52840 Dongle

The nRF52840 Dongle is a small, low-cost USB dongle that supports Bluetooth 5, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, ZigBee, 802.15.4, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary protocols. The Dongle is the perfect target hardware for use with nRF Connect for Desktop as it is low-cost but still support all the short range wireless standards used with Nordic devices. The dongle has been designed to be used as a wireless HW device together with nRF Connect for Desktop. For other use cases please do note that there is no debug support on the Dongle, only support for programming the device and communicating through USB.  Learn More
