Webinar

Get Started with TinyML!

TinyML is opening up incredible new applications for sensors on embedded devices, from predictive maintenance to health applications using vibration, audio, biosignals and much more! 99% of sensor data is discarded today due to power, cost or bandwidth constraints.

This webinar introduces why ML is useful to unleash meaningful information from that data, how this works in practice from signal processing to neural networks, and walks the audience through hands-on examples of gesture and audio recognition using Edge Impulse.

April 9, 2020

Edge Impulse is giving away ST IoT Discovery Kits to 20 webinar attendees!

Special Offer!

Register and attend the event online, April 9th to get your name in the drawing to win one of 20 boards. Learn more about the ST IoT Discovery Kit below.

Activity detection features extracted from 3-axis acceleration on Edge Impulse. We will train a similar gesture recognition algorithm during this webinar!

  • What is TinyML and why does it matter for real-time sensors on the edge
  • Understanding of the applications and types of sensors that benefit from ML
  • What kinds of problems ML can solve and the role of signal processing
  • Hands-on demonstration of the entire process: sensor data capture, feature extraction, model training, testing and deployment to any device

About the ST IoT Discovery Kit

The ST IoT Discovery Kit (also known as the B-L475E-IOT01A) is a development board with a Cortex-M4 microcontroller, MEMS motion sensors, a microphone and WiFi - and it's fully supported by Edge Impulse. You'll be able to sample raw data, build models, and deploy trained neural networks directly from the studio.

The Edge Impulse firmware for this development board is open source and hosted on GitHub: edgeimpulse/firmware-st-b-l475e-iot01a.

Speaker

Jan Jongboom

Co-Founder and CTO

Edge Impulse

Jan is an open source developer and technology evangelist working on TinyML as the CTO of Edge Impulse. Over the past years he has gone up and down the stack, from embedded to web, and everything in between. Jan is a strong believer of open source, and has written thousands of patches for open source projects, including Mozilla Firefox OS, JerryScript (embedded JS runtime), Arm Mbed.
